Making her mark on the Canadian comedy scene for over a decade, Matysio is quickly becoming one of the most sought after comedic talents in the country. An accomplished and award winning actor, previous Film and TV work includes Just Friends, Dolan’s Cadillac, Jennifer Lynch’s Chained, Ferocious, Vampire Dog, sitcoms Corner Gas, inSecurity, Little Mosque as well as co-starring in the original new Showcase series Single White Spenny. In 2013 she will appear in 3 feature film releases; Stranded, Lawrence and Holloman and The Shape of Rex. Matysio’s roots in the theatre have also earned the dynamic actress rave reviews for her stage work. With accolades that include ELLE Canada’s ‘On the Radar’, Playback’s “Top Ten to Watch”, CBC’s “Future 40″ and being labeled by SHARP Magazine ”The funniest woman you’ve probably never heard of”, she is also a six time Canadian Comedy Award, a two time Lieutenant Governor’s Arts Award, as well as a YWCA Woman of Distinction Award nominee. She has been an ensemble member with the General Fools Improv Theatre Co. since 1997 and is a main stage alumna of the Vancouver TheatreSports League.
